HIGH SPIRITS reports: Successful Centennial Event!

The Stege Centennial Open House is now history….and I’m glad to report everything turned out wonderfully and High Spirits got rave reviews from client and guests alike. Everyone I heard from loved the food provided by Nature’s Bounty Cafe and Catering of Antioch.  Mini cornbread ham sandwiches, red potato salad and lots of other goodies kept the guests satisfied.  Luckily, there was lots of delicious house-made lemonade and ice tea, because the temperature climbed to the high 70’s.   Local politicians State Senator Loni Hancock, Supervisor John Gioia and El Cerrito City Council members were on hand to commemorate and congratulate Stege with speeches and elegant plaques.  There were information tables from Stege itself, EC Historical Society, EB MUD and Kids for the Bay.  Live classical music was provided by members of West County Winds.  The crowd was estimated to be close to 100 at its highest point.  A big sheet cake proudly adorned with the new Stege logo and ten candles, one for each decade, was cut and served to the crowd following the program of speeches.   One of the highlights for me was when the Stege Board President, Beatrice O’Keefe publicly thanked me and High Spirits Event Planning.  It made all the work and running around worth it!  Here are a few photos from the big day!
